 Announcements

VBS Clean-Up. On Sunday, July 20, at 12:30pm, we’ll begin breaking down the “Power Lab” from our week-long VBS blast. Please lend a hand. Also, if you donated personal items, thank you! Please pick up your donations in Room 9 during the coming week.

Crab Cake Dinner at St. George Island Campus. If all-you-can-eat crab cakes, fried chicken, potatoes, green beans, pasta salad, cole slaw, pickled beets, and rolls sounds good to you, then you won’t want to miss St. George Island’s 132nd annual Crab Cake Dinner. Stop by “the island” any time next Saturday, July 26, between 12noon and 6pm to enjoy a great meal (and a fabulous view!). Cost: Adults-$19; Children 5-12-$9.50; under 5-Free. Carry out is available. Don’t miss it!

High School Camping Trip. All high schoolers are invited on a weekend camping adventure at Westmoreland State Park, August 1-3. Cost is $25. Register by July 25 by contacting Kim Bistline (301.475.7200 or kim@firstsaints.org).

Refine Yourself. If you’ve missed worshipping at your regular morning service due to summer travels, consider staying connected by attending The Refinery service on Sunday evenings. The service begins at 6pm. Come join us!

Visioning Team Surveys. If you haven’t filled out a survey (or turned one in) to help our visioning team set future goals for First Saints, please visit the table in the foyer to pick up and drop off your completed form. Thanks for your input!

Booster Seats Wanted. We are looking for donations of gently used booster seats to use in the church van. If you have one you would like to get rid of, please put it in room 9 at St. Paul’s.

Summer Sunday School Teachers. Don’t forget to check the sign-up outside of room 7 for our children’s summer Sunday school teaching needs.

Summer Musicians. We still have a few slots left for musicians to sing/play at the St. Paul’s campus during the 8:05am service this summer. Please contact Beth Russnogle (301.373.4503/beth@firstsaints.org) if you are interested.

The Refinery service on Sunday evenings is also looking for children’s Sunday school volunteers on a regular basis (rotational or team teaching is fine, too!) An easy-to-use curriculum is provided for all three services. Please visit the sign-up posters outside room 7 to sign up for any of the services or contact Diane Wood with questions (Diane@firstsaints.org).
