1.All teens participating in a special event will have a permission slip signed by a parent or guardian. The permission slip will be in the possession of the adult who drives participant to and from event. A copy will also be available at the office
2.Each teen participant will ride in assigned vehicles and participate in assigned groups.
3.Adult volunteers will have completed annual Youth Protection Policy training.
4.Cell phones and electronics (including mp3 players and games) will be turned in to leaders before leaving the church for an event and before all small group activities. Phones will be available to participants for phone calls to parents, in the presence of a leader. Leader phone numbers will be made available to parents at the beginning of each event.
5.Schedules of special events will be available to parents at parent request.
6.Couples (unless married) may express their affection for each other by holding hands during CrossWalk events and programs. Physical expression beyond holding hands will not be allowed. After three warnings, parents will be contacted.
7.Couples will remain in the presence of others at all times.
8.No youth or leader will engage in physical altercations. In the event of a fight resulting in physical conflict and/or injury, the leader present will notify the Youth Ministry Director as soon as possible. A leader will work with both (or all) participants and the Youth Ministry Director or designee will notify parents as required.
9.All movies shown at events will be prescreened to eliminate inappropriate content. Parents will be notified prior to PG13 movies being shown. This does not include short video clips used for talks.
10. All leaders and participants will maintain an attitude of respect and affirmation for one another.
